We'll make it easy for you. Just give one of our members a call (see Contact"), or accept an invitation to a meeting, for a one-time visit, on a 3rd Monday at 7:00 p.m., at the Omni Southpark Hotel, I-35 and Ben White Blvd. Click here for a map.

You'll join thousands of magicians from around the world, in a society, which, for the last century, has promoted the ideals shared by great magicians of the past and present. You'll join an association, which is dedicated to elevating the Art of Magic, promoting harmony among magicians, and opposing the senseless exposure of trade secrets. We are a close-knit association, and we would like to share with you the following benefits:

You will participate in SAM Assembly 206 activities, including special-topic meetings, lectures, and events.
You will receive our national, monthly news-stand quality magazine, M.U.M., which features articles, tricks, and news about magicians all over the world.
You will have access to SAMTalk, an on-line discussion group of amateur and professional magicians from all over the world.
You will be able to attend, as a member, the annual SAM convention, which always features world-class magicians from throughout the world.
You will be eligible to borrow from the SAM Film and Tape Library, which is an archive of great performances from magic's classical age.

If accepted as a Member, I agree to do my best to elevate the Art of Magic and to abide by the Constitution, By-laws, Code of Ethics and Ritual of the Society of American Magicians.

I shall endeavor to cooperate with the Society in the promotion of its objectives and to promote harmony among those interested in magic and to advance the ethics of the profession.

I agree not to expose any modus operandi from stage, platform, television, radio or in any manner whatsoever.

I am opposed to cheap literature wherein magical secrets are needlessly exposed, or to the sale of professional magical effects in cheap miniature form to the public.

I am opposed to needless and useless explanations of secrets to persons who are not entitled to know them or who are not interested in magic.

I am opposed to placing any legitimate performer in a predicament while that person is before an audience.

You can go to the SAM National web site for a membership application, or get one at our monthly meeting. We'll have some available. National dues are $65 and there is a local Assembly dues of $12 to help cover expenses for some of our activities. Payment can be accepted at any meeting or sent to the Assembly 206 treasurer.
